It’s not too early to start looking at Florida holidays in 2018. Florida Masters offer excellent deals for those early birds who want to get organised and get their 2018 summer holiday booked, and booking this early can save you money!
Florida boasts a huge choice of destinations, whether you want theme park thrills, family holidays, luxury travel, or even a cruise and stay package. Orlando is the main destination for UK visitors, and it’s easy to see why families love it so much. You can spend days in the Walt Disney World parks, not to mention the massive Universal, Seaworld, Legoland, and other thrilling attractions. Orlando has all sorts of accommodation, from cheap, comfortable hotels on International Drive, to luxury, themed hotels just steps from the parks, so there’s something to suit all budgets.
Miami is becoming a hugely popular spot for city breaks, and is often referred to as the New York of the south. This vibrant, colourful city has a thriving art scene, lots of cultural attractions, and beautiful beaches just steps from the city. If you enjoy days on the beach, then you really are spoilt for choice along the coastline. To the west you have the Gulf coast which overlooks the spectacular Gulf of Mexico. Here you can enjoy sandy beaches, warm waters for swimming, and lots of lively, interesting towns.
To the south of the state, the Florida Keys is ideal for those who want to escape to an island paradise. Made up of several small islands, with white sands and palm trees, the various resorts are connected by a major road that runs from Miami. It’s easy to island hop, and means you can easily explore by car.
New Florida Attractions
The great thing about visiting Florida is that it changes every time, and there’s always new attractions or rides to enjoy. Those booking a Florida holiday in 2018 will enjoy:
- Toy Story Land – Fans of the Pixar movie will be able to enjoy a colourful new land themed around the movies. The Alien Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog Roller Coaster are scheduled to open May 26th 2018 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Fast & Furious: Supercharged – This high-octane ride is being moved from Universal Studios Hollywood to Universal Orlando in 2018. This popular ride involves being ridden around in a tram with 3D glasses, with a combination of special and practical effects to thrill riders.
- Miami Worldcenter – Downtown Miami is set to get a huge makeover in the next couple of years, and Miami Worldcenter will be a sleek, modern shopping area in the heart of the city. Ten blocks of open air retail, upmarket restaurants, and a huge indoor mall are set to be opened in Autumn 2018.
- SKYPLEX Orlando – This new entertainment complex will include the world’s tallest rollercoaster, reaching a peak of 174 metres! There will also be a terrifying drop ride called Skyfall, which will take you up the tower to heights of 140 metres, then drop you at speeds of over 90MPHm, hurtling towards the ground. The ground floor will be a fun complex with a mall, restaurants, and family attractions, and if you’re not the sort of person who enjoys adrenaline rides, you can simply ride the elevators to the observation deck, which will have views over the city.
There are lots of reasons to visit Florida in 2018, whether it’s to enjoy the old or new attractions, laze on the beach, or perhaps even cast away on a cruise from one of the many ports. Whatever your plans, contact Florida Masters on 020 7084 7471, or fill in our online enquiry form.
