School is now officially out for summer, and you may be wondering how to keep the kids entertained for the next few weeks. Or you may be looking at the rather grim weather we’ve been having in the UK this summer, and be tempted to escape for a week or two to the Sunshine State.
Whatever your reason for wanting to get away, it’s not too late to book your Florida holiday for 2016, so why put it off any longer? Here are some reasons why you should book a last minute Florida holiday.
The weather this summer in the UK has been up and down, from unbearable heat to freezing rain. However, when you visit Florida, you’re pretty much guaranteed sunshine. The long range weather forecast for the rest of 2016 shows hot weather for July and August, warmer than usual September and October weather, and a milder, drier winter than average, so even if you visit during off-peak times, you’ll most likely be able to enjoy outdoor activities.
Big EventsFlorida hosts many large events throughout the year, but many organisers wait until the cooler months of September and October to host outdoor fun. Miami Carnival is one of the biggest street parties in the USA, and takes place on October 9th 2016. Biketoberfest is a family friendly motorbike rally that takes place in Daytona Beach from 13-16th October, with live music, competitions, and lots of colourful events. In the parks, there’s the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from mid-September to mid-November, which adults will love, and around Halloween and Christmas the parks are decked in seasonal decorations, with themed entertainment and parades creating a magical atmosphere.
Budget or LuxuryIf you’re looking for the best deal on Florida holidays in 2016, then Florida Masters can help, whether you’re looking for the cheapest deal, or want to splash out on luxury. Package deals are often discounted at the last minute, so if you’re still looking for summer 2016, then we can often get you a great price. If you’re travelling in autumn, outside of major dates such as Halloween, then this can be cheaper than the summer months. Florida Masters also offer lots of luxury options, from villas to 5-star hotels, some of which have 2016 dates still available for that last minute escape.
New Rides and AttractionsEven if you’re a regular visitor to Florida, there’s always something new going on, and 2016 is shaping up to be an amazing year for theme park enthusiasts. At Universal Orlando, the Skull Island: Reign of Kong ride has recently opened to rave reviews, using special effects and animatronics to bring the story of King Kong to life. Over at Epcot, kids of all ages are raving about the new Frozen themed attractions, which include the Ever After boat ride where you’ll spot all your favourite characters. Downtown Disney has been expanded and renamed as Disney Springs, which includes a pleasant indoor shopping area called the Town Center, featuring Disney themed shops, plus plenty of boutiques and big brands for the grownups.
If you simply can’t wait to visit Orlando, Miami, the Florida Keys, or any other destination in the state, then why wait until next year? There are still many packages available for 2016, and Florida Masters can help you get the right price.
