1.) St Patrick’s Wynwood, Miami
It’s time to don your favourite green charms for a day of fun at South Florida’s largest St Patrick’s Day party, St. Pat’s Wynwood. Complete with some of the best DJs, this awesome event in the very centre of Miami is great for anyone wanting to celebrate in true style. Meander down the area’s famous street art, sip on a delicious green beer and tuck into some tasty treats from the various food trucks at site. For kids, there’s a whole host of arts and crafts activities to try out.
2.) Hollywood St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
Held on Sunday 12th March 2018, the St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in Downtown Hollywood is a must-see for those wanting to mark everything Irish. Each year, the City of Hollywood gets together with local vendors to bring locals (and holidaymakers) a free celebration, including drum corps, a vibrant parade of colourful floats, as well as local marching bands – all held at Hollywood Boulevard and Harrison Street (located between 19th and 21st Avenues). Kids and big kids can relish in some entertainment, such as games and crafts in Downtown’s Anniversary Park. What’s more, there are a wealth of restaurants dishing up Irish delights like Shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, to name just a few.
3.) Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival, Disney Springs
It’s worth dropping into Raglan Road’s Mighty Festival in Disney Springs where you’ll enjoy an awesome variety of authentic Irish shenanigans. Between March 16th and March 19th, you’ll listen to live performances of traditional Irish music, admire an ensemble of Irish dance, and treat your taste buds to some delicious foods. For beer buffs, there are loads of craft beers and cocktails to try, or you could buy one of the many Irish-themed souvenirs from an Irish shop. For little ones, there’s face painting, not to mention a whole gamut of gun freebies.
4.) St Patrick’s Day Parade, Naples
St Patrick’s Day in Naples has been running for a whole 41 years and is run by local volunteers who’ve been keeping the annual event growing and growing. The largest privately-held parade in Florida, it attracts some 40,000 visitors every year. Got kids? Then this is an absolute must-see and a wonderful way to glorify everything “Irish”. The ultimate, fun-packed family day out.
5.) Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub & Eatery, Winter Park
This pub is notorious for its lively St Patrick’s Day shindigs. Offering a nourishing food menu and Irish beers to boot, this traditional Irish restaurant in downtown Winter Park is one for enthusiastic revellers.
